• Ariana Grande with her dog

The number one mistake every newly single person makes

When a newly single Ariana Grande recently posted a picture of her dog, describing him as her most stable relationship and claiming that she was going to be alone forever more, the Internet collectively sighed and rolled its eyes.

Of course the gorgeous, youthful poster was going to recover from the disappointment and hurt of a relationship ending and go on to find happiness with another partner, right?

But no matter how confident or rational we are, we all, at some time or another, feel or share similar doubts when we find ourselves experiencing heartbreak. Whether we're dumped or we do the breaking up, if we're cheated on or things simply don't work out, we all turn to wondering if we'll ever desire or be desired by anyone else ever again.

If you're in that place right now, then look around you. If it feels like everyone else is already coupled up and that you're the odd one out, just remind yourself that it's normal for relationships to sometimes end, and even more normal, after a period of recovery, to move on to pastures new.

So take the time to get emotionally healthy once again, investing in self care and nurturing your own happiness. One day soon, love is coming for you, just like it's coming for Ariana.
