Take a romantic stroll this Christmas through Kew's magical cathedral of lights

London is at its sparkliest, cosiest, most magical best at Christmas, and as romantic rendezvous go, the annual light show at Royal Botanic Gardens Kew—containing over one million twinkling bulbs—sure takes some beating.

The cathedral of light (see main picture) returns once more, but this time it's bigger and brighter than ever before, now reaching over seven metres tall and seventy metres long. Calling all lovers this Christmas, it's the perfect place for a memorable hand-in-hand stroll, to snap a cuddly Christmas selfie or to pop the big question.

Elsewhere there are 12 light installations created by a host of European artists, including Voyage, a breathtaking collection of small origami boats, bobbing on Sackler Crossing.

It ends with a light, water and music display at the always glorious Palm House.
