Ladies, form an orderly queue. Sir Benjamin Slade, a 71-year-old Baronet, is on the hunt for a wife. But don't be surprised if you fall somewhat short of his extraordinary list of demands, which he detailed when he appeared on a daytime television show.
The millionaire bachelor has recently ended a fling with a Soprano who "made [his] body vibrate", and is now looking for a replacement. The perfect wife to be will hold both a helicopter and a shooting licence, be a minimum of five foot six inches tall but preferably six foot, and have a large fortune of her own.
In addition to all the usual wifely duties, the future Baroness Slade will be willing and able to birth two male children, will need to run two large castles and the 1,400 acres of ground they sit in, and be a dab hand at loading a gun when Sir Slade goes shooting. "They'll need to say 'Good shot' every time I hit something, too," insisted Slade.
Slade admits that his very demanding list of partner must-haves is somewhat limiting his chances of success. "I may have to date in China because there's 1.2 billion of them," he mused.
