When the star of 2016's series of The Undateables popped up on the lunchtime show, the presenters, the studio audience and the entire female population of Twitter wanted to know one thing - had he found 'The One' yet?
The rugby player, who has both Tourette's and Asperger's - conditions that make it difficult for him to be himself around the opposite sex - revealed that though he's been on a few dates, he hasn't yet found love. "I'm just enjoying life at the moment," he said.
But Tom was on the show to talk about more than just his romantic endeavours. He revealed that his family has recently been through the awful experience of losing a relative to suicide. Tom is now determined that the charity he set up following his first appearance on The Undateables - initially tasked with helping young people with the same conditions as Tom - will tackle the important issue of encouraging young men to open up about their emotions, something he admits his own conditions makes it difficult for him to do.
Speaking about his cousin taking his own life, Tom revealed: "He was very intelligent, smart, attractive and had a girlfriend. You'd never have thought he'd do that, but it shows you've got to be open and speak about whatever’s going on in your mind. The truth sets you free."
He continued: "People think if you go to the gym and are good-looking, you have this macho image... you can’t be depressed. It's a goal of mine to tackle men's mental health."
