Since it was announced that our favourite love story, Love Actually, is getting a sequel for Comic Relief, we've been waiting with bated breath to find out what's happened to our beloved favourite characters, last seen in 2003 (not counting every Christmas replay ever since). And more specifically, we've been wondering which couples went on to find lasting happiness, and which went their separate ways?
We can all breathe a sigh of relief as writer Emma Freud has taken to Twitter to reveal two important facts: that Hugh Grant - "still hot" - returns to play the hapless Prime Minister we all fell in love with in take one. And that his equally hapless assistant Natalie, played of course by Martine McCutcheon, are still together and happily married. Freud, partner of Director Richard Curtis, even shared a picture (see below) of the lady in question watching on lovingly as her hubbie addresses the nation.
It's still to be seen which other couples have gone the distance - although it has been confirmed that Keira Knightley, Colin Firth, Liam Neeson, Bill Nighy, Andrew Lincoln, Chiwetel Ejifid and Rowan Atkinson will all be making an appearance in the Red Nose Day premiere on 24th March 2017.
After that romantic - and pigeon Portuguese marriage proposal by Colin Firth to his housekeeper in a French restaurant, we're pinning all our hopes on Jamie and Aurelia still being head over heels in love.
