It arrives at your table looking like a regular burger - six ounces of prime beef topped with a rasher of crispy bacon, making it the perfect dinner location for a low key date.
But it's not called the Cheesebomb - nor has it been dubbed London's cheesiest burger - for nothing. Each serving also comes with a pint of melted cheese, which is then unceremoniously poured over the top of your meat and side order of chips.
If you're trying to reduce your cholesterol, it's probably one to give a wide berth to. But if you're up for a cheesy date, then it's definitely one for foodie fans to tick off the bucket list.
The only problem might be eating it without getting cheese all over your hands, clothes and chops. So we recommend either tackling it with a knife and fork, or waiting until you've seen each other enough to not mind a little dairy spillage...
The Cheesebomb is served up at Maxwell’s Bar and Grill, 8 James Street, Covent Garden, WC2H 8BH.
